Historical Entries

MyMoneyViz tracks your asset history to show performance over time.

Viewing History

1. Click on any asset in your holdings
2. Scroll to the History section
3. View all recorded entries with dates and values

What's Tracked

Each entry records:

• Date of the entry
• Quantity at that time
• Price per unit
• Total value

Adding Historical Data

To record a past transaction:

1. Click on the asset
2. Click Add Entry
3. Set the date to the historical date
4. Enter the quantity and price at that time
5. Save

This helps build an accurate performance chart even for assets you owned before joining MyMoneyViz.

Performance Calculations

Your gain/loss is calculated based on:

• Total Return: Current value vs. total invested
• Time-Weighted Return: Performance accounting for when you added funds

Deleting Entries

To remove a historical entry:

1. Go to the asset detail page
2. Find the entry in the history
3. Click the delete icon
4. Confirm deletion

Note: This affects your performance calculations and charts.
